Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. together with its employees, board members and retirees has proudly raised $347,000 to support the United Way of Dutchess-Orange, Ulster and Greater Capital Region chapters, in its mission to improve lives and strengthen communities. Since 2012, Central Hudson and its team have contributed over $4.4 million through fundraising campaigns to support the United Way’s efforts. The funds will provide critical support to local programs addressing poverty, homelessness, hunger, and other essential needs in the region.

The funds raised are part of Central Hudson's ongoing dedication to social responsibility, including active employee engagement in community service initiatives. Central Hudson and its employees have consistently supported the United Way since 1920 with recent efforts including hosting a diaper drive to support families in need, partnering with Habitat for Humanity to provide essential home upgrades, and advocacy for programs that promote a healthier and more resilient community.
