Wildflower Farms
Wildflower Farms, nestled on 140 acres in Gardiner, New York, is a serene destination known for its picturesque surroundings and a wide array of amenities, including accommodations, dining, spa, and outdoor activities. With EV charging becoming a "customer expectation," Wildflower Farms' ownership worked with Central Hudson to meet this need by installing four charging stations.
The Lofts at Beacon
Located near the heart of Beacon, NY, the Lofts at Beacon are a series of 200 apartments housed within the refurbished Groveville Carpet Mill.
“EV chargers were one of our most requested amenities," said Jake Berdugo of Alexander Property Holdings We looked at this as a way to incentivize new potential tenants as well as retain current tenants who have been considering purchasing an EV.”
Village of Millbrook
The Village of Millbrook used strategic partnerships to site and fund its public EV charging stations. The result has been a positive public good, providing much-needed infrastructure for local EV drivers and tourists, boosting the local economy and enhancing the community’s sustainability credentials, while providing a model for other communities to follow.
Mid-Hudson Library
The Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS) embarked on an innovative project to install Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers at its Poughkeepsie location. This initiative was part of a broader commitment to sustainability and community service, as well as a strategic move to achieve the Sustainable Libraries Initiative Certification. It demonstrates MHLS’s dedication to renewable energy and its role in serving the community and staff.
Charles River Laboratories
Charles River Labratories recently decided to install EV charging for employee use at its Ulster County location. Plant Manager Charles Bishop said incentives from Central Hudson played a “major part” in the decision to install EV chargers and called the process "a smooth transition from start to finish."
